AMSBIO has introduced its GMP-grade StemFit® for Differentiation, a medium designed for the differentiation of human induced pluripotent stem (hiPS) and embryonic stem (hES) cells.
This formulation, now compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), is intended to support clinical applications by eliminating animal-derived components and minimizing immunogenic risks.
The company reports that StemFit® ensures lot-to-lot consistency under strict GMP guidelines. They say this provides a reliable solution for the reproducible expansion and differentiation of stem cell-derived tissues in clinical settings.

AMSBIO plans to transition all StemFit® formulations, including Basic03 and Basic04 CT, along with key proteins such as bFGF (basic Fibroblast Growth Factor) and Activin A, to GMP-grade versions by the end of 2025. This transition aims to enable laboratories to move from research to clinical manufacturing without the need to retest materials or adjust protocols, thereby reducing complexity and costs. The company has optimized manufacturing processes to minimize cost differences between research and GMP-grade products.
