Made Scientific investing $12M to expand stem cell plant in New Jersey

The new Princeton facility will boost BioCentriq's capacity, helping clients accelerate innovative cell therapies from development to commercialization.

Made Scientific, formerly known as BioCentriq, just signed a long-term lease agreement for a new cell therapy manufacturing facility in Princeton, NJ.

This facility, which will serve as the company’s new headquarters, is part of its $12 million investment to upgrade the site with new systems and equipment.

The Princeton facility is approximately 60,000 sq. ft. and includes six independent ISO 7 cleanrooms. Inside, they’ll equip the cleanrooms with new bioreactors, automated cell processing systems, and scalable production platforms.

The company reports they’re experienced with a variety of cell therapy types, including T-cell (such as CAR-T and TCR therapies), natural killer cell (NK and CAR-NK), induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), and mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-based products.

Husain, Chairman and CEO of Made Scientific. “This facility allows us to further support our clients in bringing life-changing therapies to patients and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing industry-leading manufacturing expertise.”

Once they complete the capital investment, they hope to have the plant fully operational this quarter (Q2 2025), and manufacturing services will be available immediately after.
